My name is Amelia Merchant and I’m a product designer in Chicago, IL.
I started my professional career in customer support, where I quickly developed a knack for solving user issues. This experience blossomed into a passion for UX design, or what I saw as an opportunity to help users on another level.
I took on an apprenticeship on top of my full-time customer support role to learn the field and the rest, as they say, is history.
As a product designer now, I love exploring new and different ideas for a solution and utilizing cross-company partnerships to ensure a successful final result.
I grew up in Ames, Iowa. (Go Cyclones 🌪️ )
I love drawing, painting, ceramics, and everything artistic. Catch me every Saturday at Lillstreet Art Center covered in clay.
As a kid I read every book I could get my hands on, a habit that turned into a lifelong love of reading.
I love my dogs and am constantly looking forward to the next time I get to see them at home in Iowa.
